We are looking for a HSE Advisor; this role would suit either an experienced HSE Advisor or alternatively a candidate who is looking to progress their career in the field of HSE., As an HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our organization. You will work closely with management and employees to develop and implement effective HSE strategies, policies, and procedures.

To advise and assist all appropriate managers and/or teams/functions to discharge their responsibilities for the health and safety of employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by statutory regulations and BEUMER Group policies and practices.

To ensure that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and to provide advice as and when required.

To liaise and support the BUK HSE manager.

To carry out regular inspections/assessments of sites/locations and workplaces to determine whether work being undertaken is following company policies and the relevant legislative requirements.

To undertake accident/incident investigations in accordance with company guidelines, up to and including medical treatment cases (MTCs) and moderate damages, to follow the accident/incident reporting requirements and submit reports as documented evidence

To ensure compliance business-wide at an operational level for all relevant aspects of the legal register.

To support teams/functions where required to create required H&S documentation such as H&S plans.

To maintain records that link and support our Global Group company reporting requirements.

To ensure all employees are supported with proper inductions that enable safe behaviours at our sites/locations, and workplaces.

To chair/advise BUK H&S working groups and/or committees such as RoES etc.

To assist BUK and HSE to prepare and the review of all H&S documentation prior to any audits and/or accreditations.

To deliver HSE training and tool box talks such as LOTO, Ladder Safety as required.

Provide guidance on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Advise on Construction topics to ensure adherence to CDM (The Construction Design and Management Regulations) 2015
In addition to the main responsibilities listed above, you will undertake areas of specialism as directed by the HSE Manager. These include:

Support to the facilities and workplace management colleagues for all H&S and environmental requirements related to statutory requirements in the UK. This includes waste management.

Support to overseas BEUMER Group colleagues working in the UK and/or planning projects within the UK to ensure compliance with UK legislative requirements.

Embedded into Projects/Maintenance Contracts as the HSE Advisor for that site

Support the management of sub-contractors on site to ensure we are meeting legal and BEUMER standards.

Work alongside the Quality team to ensure compliance including ISO standards
They will join our team at BEUMER UK being based out of our offices near Heathrow, with the expectation to travel throughout the UK and Ireland, if required., * A minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate (a NEBOSH Construction if working on site installation sites/locations)

A minimum of TechIOSH membership

A CSCS card (relevant to qualifications)

A valid First Aid at Work (3-day course)

A valid SSSTS certification (SMSTS preferred)

An Asbestos (CAT A) awareness course

Relevant H&S qualifications and legislative certifications such as CDM2015, ACOP L8, Working at Height, PUWER, or as directed by the HSE Manager to support ongoing projects.

A qualified Trainer
Environmental Management
- Preferred: an equivalent NQF Level 3 in environmental management such as a diploma course or IMEA Foundation
Other

Experience working in construction is preferred.

Experience with automation systems is preferred.

Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 preferred
