As a Payroll Coordinator you’ll be supporting the delivery of the payroll, and reconciling all payroll related payments, as well as providing support to HR on all payroll related queries. Your drive and ideas will help us move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
- Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for all employees in Payspace and Workday, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time. Calculate and apply deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, etc.
- Payroll Reconciliations: Prepare and post salary journals and leave provisions. Perform monthly General Ledger and salary control account reconciliations in preparation for year end audits.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate completion of various payroll reports.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws for all calculation and payroll taxes.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits and ensure correct deduction of employee contributions.
- Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies and provide excellent customer service.
- Audit: Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Liaison with HR and Finance Teams: Collaborate with HR on employee-related payroll matters and work closely with the finance department.

What you’ll bring

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, end to end payroll experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Extensive knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, P11D, RTI and auto-enrolment.
- Excellent numeracy skills and accounting experience.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and UK statutory payroll legislation.
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve:
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets.
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry.
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies.
