Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic and regulatory initiatives within our sports betting business. This role is critical in managing projects across regulated markets, ensuring compliance with strict regulatory frameworks, and driving transformation and people-focused programmes. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver, capable of navigating tight deadlines, complex stakeholder environments, and evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory & Compliance Delivery
    • Lead projects focused on launching and maintaining operations in regulated markets.
    • Ensure all deliverables meet jurisdictional compliance requirements, working closely with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams.
    • Manage timelines and dependencies to meet regulatory deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Project Leadership & Execution
    • Deliver complex, cross-functional projects including transformation programmes, platform migrations, and people initiatives (e.g., org design, onboarding, training rollouts).
    • Develop detailed project plans, manage risks and issues, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
    • Drive stakeholder alignment across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
    • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing clear updates, insights, and recommendations.
    • Lead and facilitate steering committees (SteerCos), ensuring governance, accountability, and decision-making.
    • Act as a key escalation point, resolving issues swiftly and maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Budget & Resource Management
    • Own project budgeting and financial planning, including resource forecasting and vendor negotiations.
  • Process & Quality
    • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature delivery capabilities.
    • Provide status reporting regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues across leadership.
    • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project and programme teams.
    • Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience managing projects in regulated environments, ideally within sports betting, gaming, or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory delivery in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering transformation, people, and technology projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience with senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Skilled in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Full project life cycle ownership for major initiatives and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to establish practices, templates, and tools to mature organisational capabilities.

Bonus Skills

  • Proven programme management experience.
  • Experience working on compliance projects.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of DSDM.
  • Experience in the online gaming/gambling industry.
