As a Frontend Engineer you'll be supporting the delivery of exceptional customer-facing web experiences, covering feature development, performance optimisation and strong collaboration with Product and Design. This will help us excel at delivering fast, reliable products to stay ahead of the game.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the delivery of complex frontend projects
- Defining architecture for features in React
- Breaking down work, guiding implementation approaches, and unblocking others
- Shaping and improving the codebase
- Introducing scalable component patterns and shared state solutions
- Driving initiatives that improve performance and maintainability
- Upholding and evolving engineering practices
- Enforcing clean architecture, coding standards, and trunk-based workflows
- Contributing to improvements across CI/CD and developer experience
- Driving quality and testing excellence
- Lead testing strategy using RTL and Playwright
- Evolve testing frameworks alongside QA Specialists
- Improving performance, reliability, and observability
- Leading frontend performance audits and optimisation work
- Improving logging, monitoring, and incident readiness
- Collaborating across functions to deliver successful outcomes
- Working closely with Product, Design, QA, and stakeholders
- Representing the team on project-level discussions and decisions
- Mentoring and supporting the team
- Providing direction, feedback, and supporting the growth of other engineers
- Participating in hiring through technical interviews

Essential skills you'll bring to the table
- Proven experience leading delivery of end-to-end features and projects
- Deep practical expertise with React, state management, and performance optimisation
- Strong knowledge of application architecture
- Advanced TypeScript experience, including designing scalable type patterns
- Strong familiarity with Tailwind CSS, design systems, and reusable UI components
- Experience designing and maintaining robust RTL and Playwright test suites
- Strong understanding of clean architecture, modular code, and refactoring
- Experience improving CI/CD pipelines and developer experience
- Ability to coach engineers, review complex work, and influence technical decisions
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems independently and create clarity for others
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas
Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with performance profiling tools and audits
- Experience with observability tooling (logs, metrics, tracing)
- Knowledge of edge rendering, caching, or experimentation frameworks
- Exposure to backend concepts such as REST/GraphQL APIs
