Who we are

We’re part of Super Group, the NYSE-listed digital gaming company behind some of the world’s leading Sports and iGaming brands. At Betway, we’re driven by our shared vision to become the global leader in the online sports betting and casino industry. Our people are forward-thinking team-players who thrive on a collective diversity of skills and backgrounds. Founded in 2006, our teams in Guernsey, London, Malta, Germany and Spain are constantly expanding and evolving.

Who we’re looking for

We’re on a thrilling journey of growth and innovation, and we need passionate, driven individuals to join us. At Betway, every day is action-packed, and we expect you to bring your A-game. In return, you’ll find a supportive environment where your skills can flourish, and your career can soar. Ready to become a game-changer? Supercharge your career with us and be part of something extraordinary.

Why we need you

We’re on a mission to create extraordinary experiences for our customers, and we believe that your unique skills, passion and superdrive will help us achieve our vision. You’ll be stepping into a role with real influence. The work you do will touch every paid channel we run, every attribution decision we make, and every compliance commitment we uphold related to marketing tracking. We need someone who brings not just the technical depth to build and maintain these systems, but the drive to raise the bar on data quality and the credibility to bring stakeholders along for the ride.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and manage client-side and server-side tracking using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and sGTM - designing, implementing, and auditing tag configurations, data layers, and event schemas across web and app properties.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that send conversion and value signals to AppsFlyer, Firebase, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other advertising and attribution platforms, troubleshooting discrepancies and ensuring data consistency across the marketing stack.
  • Develop and maintain pipelines for ingesting cost, spend, and campaign performance data from marketing vendors, standardising it for cross-channel reporting and ROI analysis.
  • Work primarily within Databricks to build, schedule, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines, applying software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing, and documentation) and collaborating with broader data engineering teams on shared infrastructure.
  • Partner with marketing, product, analytics, and compliance stakeholders to prioritise work, communicate progress and risks, and ensure on‑time delivery of data products.
  • Line‑manage a team of two Marketing Data & Tracking Specialists - setting priorities, coaching on technical growth, running regular one-to-ones, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Own the team’s delivery cadence - planning sprints or work cycles, managing the backlog, removing blockers, and reporting progress to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards across all marketing data products, implementing monitoring, alerting, and validation checks to catch issues proactively.

This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. You may be required to complete other reasonable duties to achieve business objectives.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

  • At least 5 years’ experience in marketing data engineering, tracking implementation, or a related technical marketing role.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and server‑side GTM (sGTM), including data layer design and event schema implementation.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks (or a comparable platform), including ETL/ELT workflows, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or PySpark for data transformation and pipeline development.
  • Experience integrating conversion and value signals with advertising and attribution platforms such as AppsFlyer, Firebase, Google Ads, and Meta Ads.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices including version control (Git), CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience implementing data quality monitoring, alerting, and validation frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate progress, risks, and trade‑offs clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with the ability to prioritise work and deliver against agreed timelines.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

  • Experience in the iGaming, sports betting, or regulated entertainment industry.
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation.
  • Exposure to privacy‑enhancing technologies (server‑side conversion APIs, first‑party data strategies, data clean rooms).
