At the Bettys & Taylors Group, we are a business that has grown by doing things the right way. Family owned, Yorkshire based, and home to three iconic brands, Yorkshire Tea, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate, the group has built a reputation for quality, integrity and long-term thinking. Everything is guided by our Six Ps: Prosperity, People, Planet, Product, Passion and Process. These are not just principles, they shape how we operate, how decisions are made, and how people are treated.
Yorkshire Tea is a brilliant example of this. Carefully sourced, consistently high quality, and trusted by millions, Yorkshire has grown significantly over the past decade to become the UK’s number 1 tea brand and one of the nation’s most loved brews. We are a business with genuine heritage, built over generations, that continues to evolve and stay relevant in a fast-moving market. Respect for tradition sits alongside our constant drive to innovate, finding new occasions, new formats, and new ways to bring the brand to consumers.
Now, that same mindset is driving growth in one of the most exciting areas of our business. The expansion of Yorkshire Iced Tea, taking the brand beyond the kettle and into the fast-growing ready‑to‑drink space, creating new consumption moments. This role is offered as a 12-month fixed‑term contract, providing the opportunity to gain high‑profile experience within a market‑leading brand. The role will involve regular time spent at the Head Office, so candidates should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Harrogate, typically across Yorkshire, the North West, North East or North Midlands.
The Role
This is a National Account Executive role with real commercial exposure in one of the most important and fast‑moving parts of the business. Convenience Wholesale sits at the intersection of brand, distribution and execution. It is a channel where decisions made at Head Office quickly translate into visibility and availability in thousands of stores across the UK. Working across key customers including Unitas and Spar, you will play a central role in supporting the delivery of growth, ensuring Taylors’ brands are not only listed, but actively performing in market. This is not just about maintaining accounts. It is about contributing to how the business shows up in the channel, how plans are built, and how they are delivered. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to translate strategy into execution, driving distribution, visibility and commercial performance across wholesale networks. Alongside the core role, you will also support the expansion of Yorkshire Iced Tea and new product formats into the channel, helping bring innovation into a space that is evolving quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Head Office account management across wholesale groups, building strong, credible relationships
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Joint Business Plans
- Manage pricing, promotional investment and commercial terms to support growth
- Drive distribution, range and in‑market visibility across wholesale networks
- Work cross‑functionally with marketing, supply chain and finance to align plans and execution
- Support negotiations and customer strategy development
- Manage forecasting, reporting and account administration with accuracy and ownership
- Work closely with commercial finance to deliver against key commercial metrics
This is a role that blends commercial thinking with real market activity. It requires energy, ownership and the ability to make things happen.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have gained experience across one more of the following areas within the FMCG:
- National Account Executive – P&L Exposure
- Key Account Management – P&L Exposure Across wholesale or retail channels
You will bring:
- Strong relationship‑building skills and confidence working with customers
- A proactive, hands‑on mindset
- A level of financial literacy combined with commercial awareness and the ability to work with data
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
Most importantly, you will enjoy being out in the market, building something, not just maintaining it. We welcome applications from all cultures, backgrounds, and experiences and we are committed to offering an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.
