An opportunity has arisen in our Front of House team and we are looking for someone to join us as our Deputy Front of House Manager at Bettys Cafe Tearooms in Harrogate. As a Deputy Front of House Manager you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Waiter/Waitresses and Front of House Team Leaders to deliver a deliciously magical experience to every customer. You will report to the Front of House Manager and deputise for them in their absence. This is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days. The start and finish times can vary depending on opening hours of the branch, this may include some early mornings or later finishes with a normal shift length of 8.5 hours per day (no split shifts). You will be required to work at least one day at the weekend every week. If you would like to discuss working patterns please provide more details in your application.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Waiter/Waitresses and Front of House Team Leaders to deliver a high-quality guest experience.
- Report to the Front of House Manager and deputise in their absence.
- Ensure adherence to branch opening hours and staffing requirements, including weekend work.
Requirements
- Background in working in and organising a busy cafe.
- Experience in managing and motivating a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others, supporting a strong team ethic to deliver quality and customer service.
- Ideally experience working to KPI’s such as labour budgets.
