An opportunity has arisen in our Front of House team, and we are looking for a Front of House Team Leader to join us at Bettys Café Tearooms in Bettys York on a fixed term basis covering an internal secondment/promotion until 31st December 2026. As a Front of House Team Leader, you will be responsible for achieving excellence in customer service, engaging and motivating a team, and maintaining the highest brand, food hygiene, and health & safety standards, all within a fast-paced environment.
This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days. The start and finish times can vary depending on opening hours of the branch, and the role will include some early mornings, later finishes and evening shifts with a normal shift length of 8.5 hours per day (no split shifts). You will be required to work at least one day at the weekend every week. If you would like to discuss working patterns, please provide more details in your application.
About You
- Background in customer service or hospitality.
- Experience in managing and motivating a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Desire to learn all about our products and confidently share your knowledge and enthusiasm with customers.
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures.
