An opportunity has arisen in our kitchen team and we are looking for an experienced chef to join us as our Catering Team Leader at Bettys Cafe Tearoom in Harlow Carr. This role is a Full‑Time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days. The start and finish times can vary depending on opening hours of the branch, this may include some early mornings or later finishes. A normal shift length of 8.5 hours per day (no split shifts). You will be required to work at least one day at the weekend every week. As a Catering Team Leader you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Chefs/Catering Assistants to prepare delicious food and drinks as part of a deliciously magical experience for every customer. This is a hands‑on, operational role where you will work alongside a team of chefs.
About You
You will have a background of working in a busy, fast‑paced kitchen producing the best quality dishes whilst following Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures. You will have experience in managing people and motivating a team. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others as we rely on our strong team ethic to deliver the highest levels of quality and customer service.
