The VP of Payments will define and lead the group-wide payments vision for TopCo (our group’s umbrella brand) that builds and supports multiple iGaming operating companies (OpCos). The role is responsible for setting strategy, governance, and product direction at a TopCo group level, while enabling the OpCos to make market-appropriate payment decisions within a supportive and scalable framework. TopCo’s payments function exists to empower OpCos - accelerating market entry, improving player experience, and optimizing commercial outcomes - without removing necessary local flexibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Define the group payments strategy and long-term payments product vision
- Own the payments product roadmap at TopCo level, ensuring reusable capabilities, standards, and tooling that support OpCo needs
- Partner with Product and Technology leadership to build shared payment components, cashier standards, and platform capabilities
- Establish clear payment frameworks, principles, and guardrails that guide OpCo decision-making without over-centralization
- Support OpCos in market entry and scale by providing expertise, tooling, and best practices
- Act as strategic advisor to OpCo leadership on payments, while respecting local autonomy
- Define group-level PSP strategy, selection criteria, and evaluation frameworks
- Lead group negotiations to secure strong commercial terms, MDR, FX, and settlement conditions
- Centralize payment-related contracts under TopCo where legally possible, while allowing OpCos flexibility in execution
- Set group-wide payment KPIs and reporting standards
- Ensure appropriate balance between cost, risk, regulatory compliance, and player experience
- Act as escalation point for critical payment or PSP issues
- Build and lead the TopCo payments team
- Collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Finance, Risk, and Compliance across TopCo and OpCos
Qualifications:
- Senior leadership experience in payments within iGaming or regulated high-risk industries
- Strong background in payments product strategy, PSP ecosystems, and multi-market operations
- Proven ability to operate in group structures balancing central strategy with local execution
