Role Overview

This role owns product design for Betty's flagship native mobile app. You'll be responsible for the end to end design of the player experience, from core journeys through to the details that shape how the product feels day to day. As a VP, this is about more than execution. You'll set the vision for product design, define what great looks like, and build the team and environment needed to deliver it. Design should be a driver of engagement, retention and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product design vision for our native mobile experience
  • Set and maintain a high bar for UI and UX quality across the app
  • Build, lead and scale a high performing product design team
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering and LiveOps to shape the roadmap and player experience
  • Drive measurable improvements in engagement, retention and conversion through design
  • Establish clear design principles, systems and ways of working
  • Ensure consistency across the product while continuing to evolve the experience
  • Act as the design voice at leadership level, influencing direction and decision making

Requirements

  • VP or Head of Design leadership experience within mobile-first products
  • A strong point of view on product design and the ability to set direction, not just follow it
  • Deep understanding of UI and UX with a track record of shipping high quality mobile experiences
  • Experience owning design outcomes at a business level, not just team delivery
  • Proven ability to build and scale teams while maintaining quality
  • Comfort operating in fast moving environments with high ownership
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to influence Product, Engineering and leadership
