BettingJobs is working with a well-established iGaming company seeking to expand their team with the addition of a Senior Legal Counsel in the UK.
This role is fully remote based under UK payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice across the company’s operations, ensuring compliance with global regulatory frameworks across iGaming jurisdictions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software licensing, marketing, sponsorship, and supplier contracts.
- Advise on regulatory developments, licensing requirements, and compliance matters in key jurisdictions.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory bodies.
- Support on M&A projects, restructurings, and corporate governance initiatives.
- Lead or assist with internal training sessions on legal and regulatory risks, reporting into the Head of Legal.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across compliance, product, marketing, and finance teams.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 6+ years’ experience, with at least 2 years in an iGaming environment.
- Solid understanding of commercial and corporate law; exposure to gaming regulation is a strong advantage.
- Strong familiarity with the Curacao iGaming license requirements.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously and deliver pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment on a remote basis.
- Fluent in English.
