BettingJobs is partnering with a well-established sportsbook and casino operator to in their search for a Safer Gambling Manager. This role will be based remotely within the UK .
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and audit Safer Gambling (SG) policies, processes, manuals, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Manage and develop SG teams, ensuring performance standards, staffing levels, and customer service excellence.
- Monitor operations, KPIs, volumes, and trends to identify improvements.
- Handle escalations, complaints, and customer risk assessments, ensuring appropriate due diligence and mitigation.
- Identify training needs, develop content, and deliver SG training aligned with regulatory changes.
- Maintain expert knowledge of SG regulations, research, and best practices across jurisdictions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Retail Ops, CDD, AML/Fraud, Finance) to effectively manage SG risks.
- Develop and manage 24/7 rosters and strategies to safeguard players, ensuring play is enjoyable and affordable.
- Support Head of Operational Compliance through data analysis and continuous process improvements.
- Act as SG subject matter expert, providing guidance across departments.
- Communicate updates to senior leadership and uphold company values and licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in Safer Gambling and/or customer due diligence.
- Familiarity with gambling licensing, regulatory compliance, and data security.
- Solid knowledge of the Gambling Commission’s licensing regime and industry best practices.
- Up-to-date awareness of SG research, technology, and methodologies.
- Strong communication, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to draft key policies, apply directives in practice, and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
- Capable of working independently, exercising sound judgment, and influencing across the business.
