BettingJobs is working with a well established iGaming group seeking to expand their senior team with the addition of a Group Head of Legal. This person will help shape the legal backbone of a rapidly growing company operating at the forefront of iGaming. You’ll be an architect of global legal framework. That means getting hands-on.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, expand, and oversee the legal function across diverse jurisdictions
- Design and drive a forward-thinking global legal and compliance framework
- Navigate the intricate regulatory environments of crypto, gaming, and fintech sectors
- Provide strategic legal guidance on commercial agreements, partnerships, marketing initiatives, and new product rollouts
- Manage and optimize contract negotiation and administration processes
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership on governance and risk management
- Coordinate with external counsel as necessary, while prioritizing in-house legal excellence
- Develop a robust legal playbook with scalable systems, processes, and templates to support ongoing growth
- Maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge of global regulatory developments, licensing requirements, and legal risk factors
- Serve as a strategic legal advisor and trusted partner across all business teams
Essential Requirements:
- 8+ years of legal experience, ideally within high-growth, regulated industries
- Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (EU or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in gaming, crypto, or fintech
- Experienced leader, you’ve built or scaled legal teams in the past
- Skilled at translating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders
- Highly organized and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
