About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Solutions Engineer to join our UK team and play a critical role in helping Enterprise customers transform the way they manage performance, feedback, and employee growth. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to design and deliver solutions that demonstrate the value of our Performance Enablement platform. You will engage with HR and business leaders to translate their strategic vision into engaging functional solutions that drive measurable outcomes for their people and organizations. Each customer is unique, and no two days will be exactly the same. This is a remote role open to candidates based in the United Kingdom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Pre-Sales & Discovery: Collaborate with Account Executives during the sales cycle to uncover business challenges and align our solution to the needs of HR, Talent, and the priorities of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team. Prepare demo environments that show prospective customers both the technical and business outcomes they can realize when using Betterworks' software. Deliver tailored product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and solution overviews that showcase the impact of performance management best practices. Partner with Account Executives to 'connect the dots' for Betterworks prospects, demonstrating how technical features affect real-world positive business outcomes.
- Solution Design & Technical Expertise: Translate complex HR processes (goal setting, check-ins, feedback, reviews, calibration, succession planning, skills management) into scalable solution configurations. Design and manage sandbox and trial environments that give prospective customers more understanding of our technology, which can drive better performance management and business outcomes. Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and IT standards, including supporting InfoSec and procurement reviews.
- Customer Success Partnership: Support early customer onboarding and implementation, ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to services. Act as a trusted advisor to HR executives, helping them articulate the ROI of performance management initiatives and measure outcomes tied to engagement, retention, and productivity. Provide technical and functional expertise during executive briefings, CAB meetings, and Innovation Days.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management to provide market and customer feedback that informs roadmap prioritization. Collaborate with Customer Success and Professional Services to ensure consistent solution delivery and customer outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales Consulting, or Customer Success/ professional services at a SaaS company.
- Strong knowledge of related HR processes (talent development, succession, skills, engagement).
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS operating systems (preferably experience with HRTech software).
- Technical proficiency with SaaS integrations (APIs, HRIS, SSO, collaboration tools).
- Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences—from IT leaders to CHROs.
- Creative and innovative approach to engaging with an audience and exciting them with the possibilities that Betterworks will deliver.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to connect business challenges to solution capabilities.
- Comfort in fast-paced, high-growth environments where you influence across functions.
- Passion for helping organizations improve employee experience and business outcomes through better performance management.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience working in a fast-paced 'start-up' environment where you are expected to collaborate, build and improve Solutions Consultant approach as well consistently executing with excellence.
- Background in consulting or enterprise HR technology.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, etc.).
