Atlantic Vacation Homes is seeking a Licensed Real Estate Agent to join our growing team in Gloucester, MA. This hybrid role combines long-term and seasonal rental management with residential real estate sales across the North Shore. You’ll be responsible for owning and growing two connected books of business: long-term and seasonal rentals (including winter rentals) and residential sales. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys helping clients navigate both rentals and home sales.
Unlike a traditional brokerage role, you’ll have access to a built-in pipeline of opportunities through our active vacation rental portfolio and long-standing homeowner relationships. You’ll work closely with tenants, homeowners, buyers, and sellers to create smooth, professional experiences while building your own book of business within a well-established local brand.
Why Join Us: This is not a typical brokerage role. You'll have something most agents don't: a built-in pipeline. Our active short-term rental portfolio and established homeowner relationships create a steady stream of warm leads for long-term rentals and residential sales before you knock on a single cold door. We’re growing fast, deeply rooted in the community, and looking for someone who wants to build something long-term here.
Here’s what you’ll find when you join us:
- A well-established and trusted North Shore brand with over 40 years in the market
- Warm leads and referral opportunities generated through our existing homeowner network
- A fast-paced, relationship-driven environment with strong growth potential
- The opportunity to expand your career across both rentals and residential sales
- A collaborative team that values initiative, professionalism, and local expertise
Living and working on the North Shore offers the perfect balance of coastal charm and accessibility to Boston’s restaurants, sports, and entertainment, while enjoying scenic beaches, outdoor recreation, and vibrant local communities year-round.
What You'll Do:
- Utilize the existing client base to obtain sales clients and listings
- Identify and secure long-term rental opportunities, including winter rentals and hybrid stays
- Conduct property showings, qualify prospective tenants, and negotiate lease terms
- Prepare lease agreements, facilitate move-ins, and conduct property inspections as needed
- Build strong relationships with tenants, homeowners, buyers, and sellers
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and maintenance concerns
- Leverage rental relationships and existing client connections to identify residential sales opportunities
- Prospect for new rental and sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and community engagement
- Maintain and manage a pipeline of leads and follow up consistently to convert opportunities into closed business
- Complete all necessary paperwork, documentation, and transaction coordination tasks
- Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts real estate regulations and licensing requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Real Estate License required
- Previous experience in real estate sales, leasing, property management, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for showings and property visits
- Familiarity with the North Shore market is a plus
Compensation, Benefits & More:
Compensation: Commission-based position with strong earning potential. On-Target Earnings (OTE): $50,000 - $100,000+ annually based on rental bookings and residential sales performance. Access to warm leads and an established client pipeline through Atlantic Vacation Homes’ existing portfolio and homeowner relationships.
Benefits become available after 12 months of employment and upon achieving annual performance goals. Potential benefits include life insurance, retirement benefits, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
