Our client is a well-established multi-disciplined Construction Consultancy providing consultancy services across both the public and private sectors and are looking for an experienced CDM Consultant/Principal Designer to join their team located in Sidcup.

The role will be to directly support the CDM Manager in providing CDM Consultant Services to a wide and varied client base to undertake the role of Principal Designer for CDM and Health & Safety site inspections. There is also an opportunity within the Practice for future career progression including management of key clients and working closely with the Partner in Charge.

You may be expected to be involved in the Occupational Health & Safety for the practice and assist with the production of marketing and bid work.

Suitable candidates would be from a Construction / Design background experienced in CDM 2015 and Principal Designer role with a range of project values and complexities. They are looking for someone with a good understanding of the design hazard elimination process and have experience of working on a variety of projects from demolition to large scale construction.

In addition to possessing excellent communication, management and team working skills, you would be capable of working on your own initiative and have good time/resource management skills, flexible to travelling and visiting sites.

Ideally you would have a CMaPS / NEBOSH Construction Certificate, with 3 years experience. Full clean driving license and use of own, road legal, vehicle. Experience of aids and adaptations, party wall matters, DDA audits, auto CAD proficient and CDM regulations would be an advantage.
