An ambitious, independent PR agency based in Leeds is looking for a talented and driven Account Director with strong corporate and B2B communications experience to join its growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape and deliver high-impact communications strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with senior stakeholders and mentoring a talented team of PR professionals.
With a proven ability to generate real commercial advantage for clients, the agency operates across corporate, consumer, trade and technical PR, alongside content, social and search.
The RoleAs Account Director, you’ll lead by example – delivering exceptional work while managing and mentoring a team that includes a Senior Account Manager and two Account Managers. You’ll work directly with the Head of Agency, providing strategic direction and ensuring consistent, high-quality output across all client accounts. This role primarily focuses on corporate and B2B PR, with occasional involvement in B2C activity.
What You’ll Bring- 5+ years’ experience in a PR agency, with a strong corporate/B2B focus
- A proven track record in delivering strategic and tactical communications campaigns
- Exceptional writing, editing and media relations skills
- A solid understanding of integrated communications, including digital, social and SEO
- Demonstrated team management and leadership experience
- Strong commercial awareness and account management skills
- Confidence in building senior client relationships and offering trusted counsel
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines while staying detail-focused and results-driven
- Lead client strategy and execution across high-profile B2B and corporate accounts
- Deliver projects and campaigns on time and within budget
- Build lasting client relationships and identify opportunities for account growth
- Mentor, support and develop junior team members
- Actively participate in agency marketing, thought leadership and new business activity
- Contribute to the agency’s own brand visibility through content and networking
