At Better People, we work with design-led practices who care deeply about quality, collaboration, and doing things properly. We’re supporting a respected architectural studio working on beautiful, high-end residential projects across Newbury and the surrounding counties. They’re now looking for a Part 2 Architect who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and takes pride in thoughtful, well-crafted design.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role supporting senior architects across a range of bespoke residential schemes — from early design through to delivery. You’ll be trusted with meaningful work, valued for your ideas, and supported to grow.
You’ll be involved in:
- Producing high-quality drawings, visuals, and presentation material
- Supporting senior architects across multiple project stages
- Contributing to design development and detailing
- Preparing and assisting with client presentations
- Working collaboratively within a studio that values clarity, care, and good communication
About You
You’re confident, professional, and enjoy working in a studio-based environment where people genuinely support one another.
You’ll bring:
- Part 2 qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- UK residential project experience (high-end homes ideal)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong visual and design capability
- A proactive, supportive approach — happy learning from senior architects
- Full UK driving licence and own car (essential due to project locations)
Software
Vectorworks experience is welcomed but not essential — training can be provided for the right person.
