Domestic Appliance Engineer

Are you an experienced Domestic Appliance Engineer who takes pride in doing a good job and looking after customers properly?

Our client is a successful, family-owned business based in Salisbury for more than 40 years. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced engineer to join their friendly and supportive team.

The Role

You will diagnose, repair and occasionally install large domestic appliances in customers’ homes, working across a range of brands and both freestanding and integrated appliances.

You will provide an excellent customer experience, keeping customers informed

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing large domestic appliances
  • Completing electrical testing and fault finding
  • Accurately recording completed work
  • Occasionally delivering and installing appliances
  • Sharing practical product advice with customers

What We’re Looking For

You will ideally have:

  • At least three years’ experience repairing domestic appliances or white goods
  • Strong fault-finding and electrical testing skills
  • Experience working in customers’ homes
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach
  • Domestic gas or refrigeration qualifications would be useful, but they are not essential.
