Job Description

Job Title: Repairs Contractor Manager\\n\\nLocation: Sites across South West London however sites are not limited to this area\\n\\nSalary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum depending on experience, skills and qualifications\\n\\nJob Type: Full time / Permanent\\n\\nWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, Hybrid working – from office, home and property visits\\n\\nHoliday Allowance: Holiday allowance of 20 days plus bank holiday\\n\\nThe Better Home Company is a Super Prime Home construction and refurbishment company. We currently have an opportunity for a Repair Contractors Manager to join our Corporate Team working predominantly in the Insurance sector.\\n\\nAbout the Role:\\n\\nWe are seeking a Contractor Manager to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to our high standard of finish. You will take responsibility for managing a range of domestic/ commercial claims as a main point of contact for contractors and policy holders.\\n\\nYou will plan projects, hold pre- start meetings, ensure H&S and CDM obligations are met through the works.

You will monitor any variations and provide full reports on repair progress. Additionally, you will be involved in onboarding new contractors, carrying out regular site audits and keeping records updated.\\n\\nThis opportunity would be ideal for candidates based in London as we serve Central and South West areas.\\n\\nThe areas we cover include SW, W, KT, TW. EC, WC, SE postcodes but sites are not limited to these areas.\\n\\nCar Allowance & Mileage to be agreed with the right candidate.\\n\\nMain Responsibilities:\\n\\nEfficiently Plan and manage claims during the repair phase.\\nConduct pre-start meeting with contractors and ensure works are planned in line with the schedules.

Monitor costs and ensure all projects are delivered to budget.\\nPrepare H&S documents and CPPs. Ensure H&S and CDM obligations are met on every claim\\nManage quality of works and swiftly resolve issues should they arise on site\\nValidate variations and provide feedback between the office and site team\\nCarry our regular site audits and report updates to our software\\nFirst point of contact for contractors and policy holder at the property\\nIdentify and onboard new contractors\\nHave detailed knowledge of property repair works and associated costs including decoration, tiling, flooring, carpentry, plumbing, electrics etcAbout you:\\n\\nRole Requirements:\\n\\nProven experience in the building repairs and property refurbishment industry\\nTrade Experience is necessary\\nHold valid CSCS & SMSTS or associated accreditations\\nProven knowledge of H&S, Building Regulations and CDM requirements\\nExperience of insurance claims handling would be advantageous but is not essential\\nExperience in handling and the resolving complaints\\nA good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft packages\\nExperience of working to tight timescales and meeting client specific SLA's\\nAbility to provide detailed quotations with competitive costs.\\nGood understanding of industry with strong ability to negotiate\\nAttention to detail, can work independently and prioritise workload\\nHas a Proactive and hands on approach\\nStrong written and communication skills with focus on delivering high quality customer service\\nOutstanding problem-solving ability and strong decision-making skillsPlease click on the APPLYbutton to send your CV for this role.\\n\\nOverseas candidates will NOT be considered for this role.
