A brand-new permanent opportunity for an experienced Product and Supplier Lead to join a rapidly growing Energy organisation. The role is fully remote, and you can be based anywhere within the UK but will be required to meet at one of the office locations once a month for a team meeting.
Based within a wider technical sales team, you will be a strong support to the Business Development Managers, sharing your product knowledge of Solar panels and solar battery storage. Discovering and introducing new Solar providers to the business, confidently presenting to board level and negotiating pricing, whilst starting and then maintaining client relationships. The supplier meetings can be face to face or over Teams.
You will be commercially, technically and analytically minded and be the bridge between technical design and commercial. This is a hands-on role in shaping the supply-chain and defining the product offerings to enable the business to be a ‘one stop shop’. Skills/experience/attributes:
- Minimum of three-year experience of solar power/supplier management.
- Strong industry knowledge is essential. Ideally in technical, ex-sales, engineering or pre-construction commercial Solar and or BESS sectors.
- Degree educated
- Confident presenting to board level
- Strong customer focused approach
- Strive to get things right first time
- Excellent problem solver
- Commercial acumen with a solid grasp of project economics
- Proficient in industry standard design and yield modelling software (e.g, AutoCAD, PVSyst or similar)
- Understanding of asset value
- Strong pricing negotiation skills
- A good understanding of equipment warranties
