My client is looking to recruit an experienced Test Team Manager to join their successful and growing organisation. Ensuring a high standard of manual testing is met across multi-disciplines across the business to include software, APIs, databases, systems and web-based testing. Leading and people managing an experienced and established test team. Assisting and supporting with driving the business forward in the future more into automation with the usage of AI technologies. Establishing best practices for testing, implementing new tools, automation and improving existing workflows.

You will have solid experience of the full test lifecycle, comfortable attending multiple daily meetings, leading stand-ups and being a point of escalation within the test space. You will be a strong people manager and leader, delegating project work, conducting regular reviews, holiday requests, recruitment and identifying training needs. Positive and friendly, fast-paced working environment. Working on interesting projects with an insight into future test strategies. Hybrid working available, two days in the office and three days working from home each week.

Skills/experience/attributes required:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in people management of a Test Team
  • Degree educated
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Exposure and knowledge of GenAI/AI technologies is a huge bonus
  • Experience of automation or introduction of automation into a business
  • Any knowledge or experience of Jira is highly desirable
  • Experience of testing across multi-disciplines is essential
  • Proven experience in generating and managing testing deliverables – test strategies and test cases
  • ISTQB certified to expert level, or equivalent
  • Experience and exposure to ITIL and SDLC processes
  • Experience of Xray is desirable
  • Comfortable with conducting regular performance reviews
  • Happy to share knowledge with others and to take on board other team members' knowledge
  • Results orientated with a high attention to detail and producing great quality work
  • Strong, friendly, approachable and confident leader
  • Outstanding communication skills
