Due to company growth, an exciting and brand-new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast growing and highly successful energy and data organisation. The role will be fully remote, but you will be required to attend Head Office in Surrey around once a month. The geographical area will be National within the UK and you would be required to sell EV charge points and Solar and decarbonisation technologies to business, developing partnerships.
The role is a 50/50 split of brand-new sales and approaching existing customers from a warm database. I am searching for a true sales professional, with proven and demonstrable business development experience, with a confident and friendly approach and enjoys building relationships. You will be targeted and required to attend one prospective face to face customer meeting in person a week and ideally four Teams meetings a week. The emphasis is around getting yourself in front of the customer and having a few good quality meetings, rather than how many calls you have made.
You will be generating your own leads, identifying, engaging and securing new business and closing new clients, before passing them to a dedicated Account Manager and ensuring a smooth handover is complete. Working to and delivering against KPI’s, you will have a flexible approach and be experienced and comfortable with reporting results and proving market research back to the business. Although you will be accountable for your own work, there is a strong emphasis around the team target and working together as a team, sharing ideas, knowledge and experience.
If you feel the above profile fits your experience and personality, this could be the career move for you. The team is small and growing quickly, so there will be plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and experience further. There is a competitive basic salary and achievable and uncapped commission on offer, along with all expenses paid for and a fantastic benefit package!
