Great permanent opportunity for a Business Change Project Manager to join a successful, growing Energy business. The role is to manage strategic projects across the business, ensuring goals and objectives have been clearly defined and met. Taking accountability that each project has a clear plan for delivery and seeing it right through to completion all within a timely fashion. Identifying key milestones, timeframes, dependencies, critical paths and assumptions, ensuring planning standards are followed.
You will ensure that projects are appropriately resourced, ensuring that the owners are held accountable and stakeholders are managed accordingly. Although the role is predominantly business change, there is a link to IT and there are a number of projects around transformation, systems and software upgrades, data migrations and implementations.
You will have adept experience of project planning, logging risks and issues and be comfortable presenting information to stakeholders and senior members of staff. Working to methodologies and having a flexible and adaptable approach to work and changing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience of running at least two to three medium sized projects from start to finish. You will now be looking for your next challenge in an expanding business where you can certainly grow your Project Management career further.
The role is hybrid, with a minimum of two days in the office each week and the rest working from home. There is plenty of local parking and the office is a short walk from a train station.
Skills/experience and attributes required:
- Degree educated
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Project Manager
- Strong business change experience
- Exposure to IT projects is desirable
- Prince 2 qualified
- Experience of processes and governance
- Experience of a variety of methodologies is useful
- Strong stakeholder management
- Outstanding communication skills, face to face, verbally and written
- Confident working with Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel
- Strong presentation skills using PowerPoint
- Confident nature, not afraid to make mistakes and problem solve to find the right solution
- Remains calm under pressure
- Flexible, adaptable and open to new ideas and change
- Great listening skills and loves to learn new skills
- Proactive, driven and has a high sense of achievement
