Great permanent opportunity to join a fast-growing Energy and Data business located in the Surrey area as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer. You will be working within a small and friendly team but very much part of a wider Development and Support team. The role is varied and interesting and you would be instantly working on a large scale and ongoing project that is an industry mandatory requirement. The role is replacing a very experienced member of staff so requires an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer at an Enterprise level.
Requiring experience of migrating legacy code and designing new code and interfaces. You will be experienced and familiar with concepts and best practices and can look at the bigger picture when looking at code and a piece of work. You will be a great problem solver, enjoy working collaboratively but also independently when required and have a high attention to detail, taking pride in your work.
The role is based at Head Office with local parking and a short walk to a train station. There is hybrid working on offer, two days in the office and three days working from home.
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum of three years experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer
- Experience in code design
- Familiar with concepts and best practices
- Degree educated
- Strong communicator verbally and written
- Experience of creating relational databases
- Experience of designing new code and new interfaces
- Experience of writing clear documentation including specifications, technical manuals, user manuals and use of task tracking systems.
- Strong experience applying design principles, best practices, and schema design to database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server (MSSQL).
- Experience of Oracle Forms and or Apex is desirable
- Friendly team player who enjoys and has a passion for data and data analysis
