Associate Scientist (Bioanalytical Chemistry)

The Role
We are seeking an Associate Scientist with hands‑on laboratory experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or biotechnology to conduct experimental work and analytical assays for recombinant protein characterization. You will report to a Senior Analytical Scientist and work closely with cross‑functional R&D teams on synthetic biology, bioprocessing, and product development. Responsibilities
- Execute routine experiments and independently perform analytical assays for recombinant protein characterization.
- Implement standard analytical methodologies, including protein tools and immunoassays.
- Conduct analytical assays related to fermentation processes and develop recombinant protein.
- Prepare and analyze protein samples, focusing on proteins such as Osteopontin (OPN) and other novel targets, and document key findings.
- Maintain thorough records and documentation of experimental outcomes within an electronic lab notebook system.
- Draft and contribute to QC documents within a laboratory environment.
- Present experimental findings and insights to cross‑functional teams.
- Provide analytical support for ad‑hoc projects and tasks as required.
Required Experience
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology, with at least 1 year of strong laboratory experience in the field.
- Expertise in protein analytical techniques, including HPLC and advanced characterization methods.
- Strong understanding of liquid chromatography principles and diverse protein detection methodologies.
- Ability to accurately assess target molecules within complex biological matrices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for comprehensive data analysis.
- Exceptional organizational and planning ability with autonomy, managing workload to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, proactively engaging with managers and teammates.
- Meticulous attention to detail, robust problem‑solving acumen.
