You will be part of our global Communications and Events team, reporting to the Events Manager based in Geneva, and working closely with colleagues across regions and time zones. This is a hands-on corporate events delivery role with responsibility for logistics, coordination, and inclusive participant experience across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.

The Challenge

Looking ahead to 2030, we are targeting reducing GHG emissions from cotton production by half, big cuts in synthetic pesticide use, improve soil health across our network, improve farm income and support women’s empowerment among farmers and farm workers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the logistical delivery of Better Cotton-led events, ensuring a seamless and inclusive participant experience.
  • Lead farmer participation management for the Better Cotton Conference, coordinating travel, visas, accommodation, interpretation, preparatory materials, and subsidy and budget tracking.
  • Manage session and speaker logistics, including outreach, asset collection, consent documentation, session guides, templates, trackers, and run-of-show inputs.
  • Coordinate event-related financial and procurement documentation in line with organisational procedures.
  • Act as a coordination point for virtual and hybrid events, including the Large Farm Symposium and virtual Programme Partner Meetings.
  • Manage run-of-show coordination, participant communications, and platform updates to ensure smooth delivery across time zones.
  • Support content preparation, including master decks, templates, keynote documentation, and post-event reports.
  • Collaborate closely with Events, Communications, Programmes, Operations, IT, and external suppliers to ensure aligned and inclusive delivery.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience coordinating international events, including logistics for speakers and participants (travel, visas, accommodation, interpretation, and budget tracking).
  • Experience supporting corporate event production across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural teams.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and virtual platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Desirable

  • Experience working in sustainability, agriculture, apparel, or a membership-based or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Experience with CRM, registration systems, financial or administrative data management.
  • Knowledge of additional languages (e.g. French, Spanish, Turkish, Portuguese, Hindi or other Indian languages).
  • Professional qualifications in event or project management.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid working – One day per week in our office in Canary Wharf
  • The opportunity to work from anywhere in the world for up to one month per year
  • Flexible working, with core hours from 10 am to 4 pm local time
  • Continuous learning and development
  • Pension scheme
  • A generous annual leave package, including paid holiday, public holidays, additional paid days off during the festive season, study and exam days, and extra discretionary leave for life events such as family weddings or moving home
  • Enhanced parental benefits
  • The opportunity to make your mark and make a difference.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and will be based in London. Due to the nature of the role, some flexibility in working hours will be required, including occasional non-standard hours to support event delivery. Better Cotton Initiative offers flexible working, with core hours being 10 am – 4 pm. The position will involve travel to various BCI locations to oversee and support the delivery of events.
