Job Overview
Band 6 Registered Nurse – Internal Rotation within the Eye Department, Surgical Directorate. Only current Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board staff will be considered.
Main Duties
Work across Clinic, Day Unit and Theatre rotations to coordinate care for elective ophthalmology and age‑related macular degeneration (AMD) patients, in collaboration with senior nursing staff.
Language Requirements
Welsh language desired; all English and Welsh speakers welcome.
Qualifications – Essential Criteria
- NMC registered nurse
- Degree‑level qualification (or working towards one within an agreed timeframe)
- Evidence of CPD; actively working towards a relevant postgraduate diploma
Qualifications – Desirable Criteria
- Management qualification or willingness to undertake one
- Mentor/supervisor/assessment experience
Experience – Essential Criteria
- Significant clinical experience within an eye department or relevant nursing role
- Substantial ophthalmic experience at Band 5/6 level
- Demonstrated application of improvement methodology
Experience – Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team setting
- Knowledge of senior nurse responsibilities
