PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM STAFF CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD. This is an opportunity to recruit a Band 5 nurse to work within the 12-bed Critical Care Unit in Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

BCUHB operates three hospital sites with a total of 33 critical care beds, delivering care for all unscheduled care and a broad range of surgical specialities. Candidates who have a minimum of 12 months experience in an acute area are ideal. We offer a supernumerary training period and a detailed preceptorship program alongside the National Competency Framework for Adult Critical Care Nurses. The Critical Care Unit aims to deliver safe, high-quality care and ensures a positive patient experience. As part of our team, you will deliver nursing care in line with BCUHB values and treat staff, patients, families, and visitors with respect and dignity.

Main Duties of the Job

Working under the direction of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will provide and maintain effective clinical assessment to ensure patient care is planned and evaluated. Your role includes advocating for patients and their families. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome.
