An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 5 nurse to work within the 12 bedded Critical Care Unit in Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board operates three Hospital sites with a total of 33 Critical Care beds, delivering care for all unscheduled care and a broad range of surgical specialities. We are seeking nurses who ideally have a minimum of 12 months experience in an acute area. Candidates must be enthusiastic, committed and willing to develop in this very rewarding nursing speciality.

We offer a supernumerary training period and a detailed preceptorship program alongside the National Competency Framework for Adult Critical Care Nurses. The Critical Care Unit aims to deliver safe, high quality care and ensures a positive patient experience. As part of our team, you will represent the Trust in delivering nursing care in line with BCUHB Values and treat all staff/colleagues, patients, families, and visitors with respect and dignity.

Main duties of the job

Working under the direction of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will provide and maintain effective clinical assessment to ensure that patient care is planned and evaluated.
