We are looking for a talented and organised Lead Clinical Therapist. The successful candidate will have significant proven post-graduate clinical and leadership competencies in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Speech and Language Therapy. You will also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to problem solve multiple issues within a fast-paced custodial context. You must have a degree or recognised equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech and Language Therapy, Master Level qualification (for example, Advanced Clinical Practice) and active HCPC professional registration. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Managing a small team which comprises Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Physiotherapist.
- Planning, leading and developing clinical services across all three Therapies as well as providing training and clinical advice to staff from other disciplines as a specialist in your field of practice.
- Ensuring the team provides a high standard of specialist assessment and appropriate treatment to service users, some of whom will have highly complex care needs.
- Ensuring that all Therapies are provided using evidence based principles, current best practice, advanced specialist skills and clinical reasoning.
