An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our Inflammatory Bowel Disease Service. We are seeking either an experienced Band 7 IBD Nurse Specialist or a dynamic nurse with a strong interest in IBD who is looking to progress into a development role. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred care to individuals living with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the assessment, support, education and ongoing management of patients with IBD across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work closely with Consultants, Dieticians, Pharmacists, Surgeons and the wider MDT to ensure patients receive timely, evidence‑based care.
- Nurse‑Led clinics and patient reviews
- Telephone and virtual advice services

- Co‑ordinator of care across acute and community settings
- Service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:
- NMC Registered Nurse
- MSc or equivalent experience
- Evidence of CPD
- Teaching and assessing in clinical practice/Teaching qualification
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in relevant speciality
- Significant post registration experience
Skills:
- Evidence of excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrate sound IT skills
- Evidence of managing self development
- Evidence of ability to work independently
- Demonstrate ability to influence within and outside of service, across multi/inter‑disciplinary groups
