Health Care Support Worker - Dyfrdwy Ward INTERNAL in Wrexham

To provide day to day care for service users under supervision of a Clinician which adheres to best practice, standards and guidelines, and contributes towards the service users care and treatment. Work in partnership with service users, other members of the MDT staff as appropriate, to achieve the optimum health outcome for clients. To be part of the MDT in providing a high and consistent level of holistic care, maintaining the dignity and equality of the individual. This includes direct care.

• We have Health Care Support Worker vacancies in our Mental Health Team, based in Heddfan Wrexham.

• Your work will involve working with vulnerable people who have mental health problems.

• You will have contact with patients, relatives, other members of the public and professionals from partner organisations.
• The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria: Meets all essential criteria as per attached job description/person specification.

Desirable criteria: Training in Mental Health.

Essential criteria: Significant experience of working with people with dementia.

Desirable criteria: Worked in Mental Health care setting. Experience of working in the community.

Essential criteria: Evidence of working as part of MDT. Evidence of good communication skills. Evidence of working autonomously.

Desirable criteria: Ability to speak Welsh. Evidence of IT skills.
