Job Overview
Fixed Term/Secondment until 30/09/2026 for staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Permission from line manager is required prior to applying.
Be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the corporate and clinical governance framework and associated reporting infrastructure across the Division.
Liaise with the Health Care Standards Commission, Patient Safety Agency and BCU Corporate Governance leads on governance related issues.
Liaise in conjunction with the Director with external and internal stakeholders to deliver organisational corporate and clinical governance standards and objectives.
Provide support to day‑to‑day and major quality, safety and risk initiatives across the Division, and monitor the performance of day‑to‑day activities, projects and initiatives across the organisation.
Main Duties of the Job
- Maintain a high profile for patient involvement in all aspects of clinical governance.
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders internally and externally to support continuous improvement in the quality of the patient experience and to ensure services are integrated and of high standards.
- Manage the Annual Health Check submission.
- Regularly report to the Clinical Governance Committee to produce the annual Clinical Governance Report and Development Plan.
- Contribute to business planning and strategic development, ensuring that clinical governance and continual quality improvement is integral to the process.
- Undertake clinical governance reviews and agree action plans for the rectification or development of clinical governance activities.
- Ensure that national guidelines and best practice advice issued by NICE are implemented across the Division.
- Welsh language skills desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
