This is an exciting opportunity to work for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board as an Office Clerk on a permanent basis within the Endoscopy Team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organized, flexible to service needs as we run a 7‑day service and will develop a wide range of skills in several areas of administration, including customer service, time management and electronic record keeping. Applicants must maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times. Speaking Welsh is essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
- The Endoscopy Support Clerk will provide essential support in the continuance of patient care, ensuring that case notes are at the right place at the right time.
- The post holder will cross‑cover in all aspects of the role, including pulling, filing, preparing, amalgamating and securely transporting/delivering case notes for the purpose of preparing Endoscopy Lists.
- A professional and efficient reception service will be provided within the Endoscopy Unit, welcoming all patients and visitors appropriately and ensuring that all service users are aware of the importance of tracking patient records to their correct location.

Qualifications
- Good standard of education or equivalent experience
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
- Basic knowledge of principles of confidentiality
- Welsh speaking
- NVQ or equivalent qualification experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of NHS Records Management legislation (desirable)
Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office packages
- Experience in an office or reception environment involving customer service
- NHS experience (desirable)
- Previous administrative and customer service experience (desirable)
- Familiarity with filing procedures (desirable)
