The Chronic Kidney Disease Nurse Specialist role at Wrexham Maelor Renal Unit within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board focuses on preventing CKD progression by close collaboration with the Consultant nephrologist, primary care and the renal multidisciplinary team.
Based in secondary care, the post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic CKD care (stages 3-5) and support patients with education on pre-dialysis, transplantation and end-of-life care.
