We assist with study leave and help build your e-portfolio towards Psychiatry Core Training rotations.
Applications are sought for LAS CT 1/2/3 level doctors and Junior Clinical Fellows in Acute Care, General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry across North Wales.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in an on‑call rota across sites (travel between Wrexham, Bodelwyddan, Bangor). The rota is not guaranteed and depends on service gaps.
- Provide acute care, general adult and old age psychiatry services in inpatient units and may be moved to other psychiatric sites or community settings to cover gaps and enhance learning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to clinical supervision, teaching and clinical audit where applicable.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- MBBS or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a psychiatric setting.
- General medical and psychiatric skills.
- Experience at FY2 level or above.
- Experience at CT1 level in Psychiatry or above.
- Experience of clinical audit.
- Evidence of flexibility in contributing to services.
- Evidence of participation in medical and multidisciplinary teaching.
- Base location will depend on service needs across the three main inpatient units. Travel between sites is required; a driving licence is advantageous.
- No post will be extended beyond 18 months.
- The role is available to international medical graduates requiring Tier 2 sponsorship.
- Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential.
