The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
An opportunity has arisen to join a busy children's ward providing comprehensive administrative support to the nursing staff and doctors on the Ward. We are looking to recruit a permanent member of staff to work a minimum of 23.8 hours per week.
Shift pattern over 3 weeks: 5 days per week between Monday to Sunday, includes working 1 weekend in 3. Shifts will mostly be between 08:00 - 14:00 or 13:30-20:00, Monday to Friday, and between 10:00 - 18:00 on weekends. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a degree of flexibility with regards to swapping shifts or working additional hours and working patterns to cover vacant shifts, when required to meet service needs.
Responsibilities
- Main duties of the role involve data inputting, admitting and discharging patients, answering the telephone, dealing with families, preparing case notes and filing.
- As a member of the team, you will be expected to cover absences within the department, which may include additional evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications and skills
- Experience of admin and clerical duties, good interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to work well within our existing team.
- A flexible approach to work, reliability, adaptability, and good organisational skills are essential.
- A pleasant telephone manner and good communication skills are essential to receive and respond courteously to all telephone enquiries regarding patient care.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office, a team player, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Applicants must have a good standard of education.
- The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.
