A Domestic Supervisor is responsible for supervising Domestic Assistants and maintaining cleanliness standards across Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Community East clinics and hospitals (Flintshire, Wrexham, Chirk, Llangollen). The role includes allocating duties, auditing work, maintaining leave records and stock, and performing occasional hands-on cleaning.

Working Hours

Part time, 35 hours per week; 7 am – 2:30 pm and 12:30 pm – 8 pm shifts on a rota that may include weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure environmental cleanliness standards are met in all premises.
  • Allocate duties and audit work of Domestic Assistants.
  • Maintain records for annual leave and stock of cleaning materials.
  • Provide training demonstrations of cleaning tasks during induction.
  • Travel to community hospitals and clinics (shared pool car provided).
  • Perform cleaning duties as required.
  • Support recruitment and induction of new staff.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience.
  • Previous cleaning experience in a health care setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
