The Sterile Services Department are looking to recruit one Part Time Porter / Technician Post. This Post is mainly located within the Autoclave / Portering area of Sterile Services, but the post holder will be trained in all areas in order to support the service as the workload requires.
Working Hours: Flexible hours: To work between the hours of 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday/Sunday. There will be a requirement to work 2 or 3 late shifts, i.e. 1pm to 9pm a week. Please only apply if these hours are suitable and you are able to work weekends.
Main Duties: As part of a team you will undertake assisting in stores control, sterilisation of all packs, basic testing of equipment and provision of a collection and delivery service. This post also includes decontamination, processing, preparation and delivery of packs, theatre trays, instrumentation and sundry items.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 minimum or equivalent level of knowledge or qualification. Willing to train in NVQ in Decontamination.
- Experience: Experience of following processes and procedures. Experience of Sterile Services.
- Skills / Knowledge: Ability to develop skills quickly. Ability to communicate at all levels. Knowledge of all work instructions and QMS. Ability to undertake internal rotation. Ability to speak Welsh. Ability to work in high pressured environment. Manual dexterity.
- Values / Other: Motivated. Team Worker. Resilient. Good Organisational Skills. Reliable. Shows initiative.
