Are you about to graduate and looking for your first Speech and Language Therapy post or are you a qualified band 5 looking for opportunities in new clinical areas? We have three Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist posts for you to apply for with opportunities in Adults and Paediatrics.
We are looking to recruit three self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised Speech and Language Therapists to join our well-established and expanding services in BCUHB East Integrated Health Community, covering Wrexham and Flintshire. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties of the Job
Our SLT department covers both adults and paediatrics, allowing us to offer roles in either service. If you are undecided on your career path, we may be able to offer a mixed role. You will provide assessment, advice, and therapy to your allocated caseload with a range of speech, language, communication, and EDS needs, working with them, their families, and supporting agencies in various settings.
We have a whole service approach, which means that whichever team you are based in, you will have strong links and access to the support of friendly, experienced SLTs and TIs. We are a forward-thinking department, and you will need to show flexibility and innovation while sharing in the team’s passion for delivering quality patient-led care.
We offer a comprehensive and structured induction to new starters, followed by high-quality clinical supervision, regular team meetings, and exciting CPD opportunities. We pride ourselves on our strong NQP support network, with colleagues possessing extensive skills and experience to help you develop as a SLT. You will receive regular management and clinical supervision and have access to a mentor to support the acquisition of NQP competencies.
