Job Overview
Band 6
The post holder will have professional responsibility for a defined population/caseload and lead the delivery & organisation of the public health programme. Delivering the nursing component of the school health program to a school age population within a defined number of schools.
Student School Nurses are invited to apply for this post and will work as Band 5 Community Staff Nurses until registered as a School Nurse.
Main duties of the job
Based within the community setting, the practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care offered to families and external organisations, with particular attention to safeguarding children.
They will be responsible for coordinating and delegating work within a skill mix team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
