A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced person to support the Service Managers in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities in the Central Area.
Main Duties of the Job
- The role requires excellent secretarial and communications skills including diary management, email management, use of all Microsoft Office packages.
- The ability to assess situations, prioritise incoming information, address issues directly and escalate them to the management team as appropriate.
- You will need the ability to act on initiative and work under pressure, to provide cover for colleagues and maintain a team working approach.
- An understanding of the NHS or a large complex organisation is essential.
- The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to work and the needs of the service and possess sufficient experience as a PA or senior administrator.
- In return, the post-holder will be supported in their role through training and regular supervision.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Qualifications
- Essential Criteria
- RSA III / NVQ 3 Qualification or equivalent Diploma in Office administration or experience at Diploma level.
- IT qualification or equivalent experience with Microsoft Office.
- GCSE/O'Level Maths & English grade C or above.
- Desirable Criteria
- Ability to speak Welsh.
Experience
- Essential Criteria
- Experience at a high level of providing a comprehensive administrative / PA service.
- Experience of setting up and using filing / IT systems.
- Familiar with office procedures & deadlines.
- Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of working within the NHS.
Aptitude and Abilities

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions.
- Organisation skills.
- Ability to produce Reports.

- Confident in all aspects of office practice.
