An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive individual to join our Theatre Services team as an Orthopaedic Loan Kit Coordinator / Omnicell System Administrator. This key role supports the safe and efficient delivery of orthopaedic surgery through the coordination of specialist loan kits, management of theatre inventory systems, and oversight of equipment and service contracts. Working closely with clinical teams, procurement colleagues, and external suppliers, you will help ensure the right equipment is available at the right time while driving improvements in stock management, efficiency, and value for money.

Implement an effective loan kit service by ensuring requirements are acquired from surgical team and are planned in association with theatre scheduling.

Resolve day to day loan kit queries raised by theatres.

Ensure loan kit required for operating lists is ordered in good time and recorded appropriately as per process.

Prepare all loan sets for HSDU by checking all instrumentation is present and correct as per supplies check sheets and bar code and list all trays.

Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate costs for hire/delivery and agree the delivery and collection dates of kits.

Receipting of Purchase Orders once loan accurate costs have been obtained from the supplier.

Check Orthopaedic goods received against supplier’s delivery note e.g., Stores, WHS etc. for accuracy of delivery and suitable shelf life. Using Omnicell system where appropriate.

Oversee all equipment contracts as well as maintenance and service contracts for all specialized medical equipment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and /or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
