Transform patient care, safety and outcomes through digital technology and innovation at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As an ICT Support Officer, you will help support and maintain the digital systems, technologies and services that enable healthcare delivery across North Wales. Working with colleagues, customers and technical teams, you will ensure services remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose, contributing to safe and effective patient care.
We are looking for proactive individuals with strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, work well under pressure and collaborate across teams to support service delivery and improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical and professional skills while contributing to local and national digital initiatives. You will gain exposure to a variety of technologies and help deliver innovative solutions that improve healthcare services. The role requires travel across North Wales to support services and users at BCUHB sites as required.

Main duties of the job include bringing experience of providing ICT support within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, ideally within a large or complex organisation. You will be confident in supporting and maintaining clinical systems, diagnostic reporting systems, and other NHS digital applications. A good understanding of operating systems, networking principles, and information governance requirements in a healthcare context is essential.
Experience of using an ITSM to log, track, and resolve incidents is required, along with the ability to work to ITIL based processes. Knowledge of NHS data standards, clinical workflows, and the integration of systems across different care settings would be an advantage – though full training on local systems will be provided. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
