The postholder will provide a Secretarial / Receptionist service to the department, being the first point of contact for visitors and patients to the service. This can involve dealing with sensitive and potentially difficult / stressful situations in a calm and sensitive manner. The post also requires providing secretarial / administrative support to the CDS Administration team.
Location: Based at Ty Nerys, Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Contract: Full Time - 37½ hours, PERMANENT

Job Purpose: Working with the North Wales Community Dental Services. Working closely with and providing support to qualified staff in order to ensure the smooth running of clinics ensuring safe patient focused care at all times.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities: The postholder will be an important part of a Multidisciplinary team and will provide comprehensive secretarial / administrative and clerical support to North Wales Community Service.

- Essential criteria: Able to demonstrate English and Mathematical skills, RSA Stage 2 or equivalent NVQ 3 in Administration/Information Technology.
- Desirable criteria: NVQ II Admin/customer care.

- Essential criteria: Clerical/Secretarial experience, Numeracy and cash handling, Previous NHS experience, WPAS and Welsh Clinical Portal.

- Essential criteria: Clear, legible handwriting, Good verbal and written communication skills, Good organisational skills, Able to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks, Typing/Word processing, Maintaining Confidentiality, Good secretarial skills, Good time management skills, Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
