Join to apply for the Radiotherapy Clerical Assistant role at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Radiotherapy Department in the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Glan Clwyd Hospital is looking to appoint a Radiotherapy Clerical Assistant for a full-time position (37.5 hours per week).

Job Overview

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the radiotherapy department, including:

  • Typing annotations into Canisc, the Welsh Clinical Portal, and SharePoint.
  • Registering patients in the Radiotherapy Oncology Information System (ARIA).
  • Collecting patient notes.
  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Covering radiotherapy reception when required.

Main Duties

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the radiotherapy department.
  • Accurately administer annotations relating to patients’ radiotherapy treatment onto Canisc and SharePoint and register patients in ARIA.
  • Analyse workload for the radiotherapy administration office, including covering the Radiotherapy Reception when required.
  • Retrieve and collect patient notes for radiotherapy appointments.
  • Maintain a high quality of service to patients, carers and other visitors.
  • Ensure adherence to all BCUHB/department policies and procedures.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

GCSE standard for Maths and English or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Experience of office and administration procedures.
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment (desirable).

  • Ability to communicate clearly and precisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
