Applications are invited for the position of a Quality and Governance Administrator within the busy BCU Radiology Department. Base will be decided on appointment of the successful candidate. This role mainly consists of providing comprehensive administrative support to the Radiology Management Team, through the Head of Quality & Governance. Supporting the Quality and Governance across BCU Radiology.
Responsibilities
- Collate and coordinate requests for access for non‑medical referrers. Maintain relevant databases and ensure that the Radiology Service complies with requests for information where applicable.
- Undertake the communication role on behalf of the Quality and Governance Team, including drafting regular communications, undertaking administration activities in relation to the Quality Standards in Imaging (QSI) and maintaining the Radiology SharePoint site where necessary.
- Coordinate the process for ensuring that Radiology policies and procedures are kept up to date.
- Provide support to, and maintain accurate records of audit and outcome measures, tracking outcomes to resolution.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgment and initiative; exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to work to meet the demands of the service.
Essential Criteria
- Diploma in Office Administration or experience to diploma level.
- Good standard of English and Maths – O level / GCSE.
- Experience of coordinating administration activities; experience of organising workload and people.
- Excellent communication skills, advanced typing skills, the ability to work unsupervised, excellent customer service skills, and excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Criteria
- A levels or equivalent qualifications.
- Previous NHS experience.
- ESR self‑service (or equivalent experience of application).
- Knowledge of Referral to Treatment process (RTT).
- Ability to speak Welsh (desirable); Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
