THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS UNTIL JULY 2027 DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

The Central Primary Care team are looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Administration/Clerical Support Officer/Departmental Receptionist to work in our Health Board managed GP Practice Healthy Prestatyn Iach, Prestatyn.

Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, however training can be given. The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging.

Main duties of the job:

  • The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries, over the phone and face to face, ordering and printing repeat prescriptions, therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is required.
  • Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft Office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties, scanning, summarising, workflow and private patient income work, all to assist in the smooth day to day running of the practices.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment but full training can be given to the right candidate.
  • The post holder will also be expected to work at other Healthy Prestatyn Iach sites in the area.
